"Drive One Career Technical High School will cultivate the potential in each student by
integrating differentiated classroom academic instruction and hands-on instruction with
relevant work-based experiences. All students will discover their talents, skills, and abilities
and develop a plan for their chosen field. All students will be connected to academic,
technical skills, employability kills that prepare them for post-secondary success."
This is accomplished by the following:

Establish a safe, secure learning environment where respect, honesty, and appreciation of individual differences are fostered.

Deliver an alternative education program to serve at-risk students who needs are not being met inthe traditional school setting

Create a career pathway to assist students in achieving their educational and personal goals

Identify each student’s strengths and challenges at enrollment and provide them with personalized educational plan to meet their academic needs.

Offer a blended learning model that combines online and face-to-face curriculum that provides a solid academic program to meet the student’s learning plan and graduation requirements

Provide remedial instruction in Math and Reading, as needed.

Arrange for each student to explore a variety of skilled trade opportunities based on their interests

Provide each student with relevant, work-based experiences and internships

Offer Credit Recovery and Accelerated Pacing

Provide students with the daily living skills that they need to obtain a job, keep a job, and manage their personal finances, etc.

Foster and promote partnerships with businesses in the community

Create an inclusive learning community where everyone (staff, students, parents, community members) work together to achieve excellence.
